TOP: typical Tehuana huipil dress in black synthetic satin, with handmade floral embroidery with cotton thread.

BOTTOM: skirt with band embroidered in cadenilla technique, and underskirt to give volume.

ACCESSORIES: hand-sewed floral headgear, and fringed mantilla woven with traditional loom.

RELEVANT DETAILS: Frida usually wore this style of dress on very important formal events. She also wore a similar dress during the photo sessions respectively held in the Casa Azul and New York by Nickolas Muray.
